OUR LITTLE MONKEY TURNED 1!

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY
WYATT SLIM ALVEY!
On Saturday, We had a BBQ Party for Wyatt with family and friends. It was soooo much fun and we really appreciate everyone that came!
Wyatt LOVES ice cream so we did ice cream, brownies and cookies on Wed. 25th (on his birthday) . Grandma and Grandpa Alvey came over to celebrate and watch him open his gifts from us.

The party was a Construction Theme (of course) so Savannah Thorpe made this
SUPER CUTE cake for Wyatt to dig into!
SPECIAL THANKS TO HER FOR DOING THAT. IT WAS PERFECT!

A day I won't ever forget...

This is Jeffery and I just before we went in to take out my endowments. Words can not describe the feelings I had that day. It was a day I have been patiently waiting for my whole life. And the day that we are sealed, will be the icing on the cake! This temple is a small temple which was perfect, because it made it that much more personable. It is part of the Hawaiian culture to consider everyone family, and they did just that. I am so glad I waited for the right time in my life to go to the temple. I am also very grateful I was able to share this experiance with the right person and my best friend, my husband. I couldn't have asked for a more loving, supportive, fun, and spiritual husband! On the outside he seems ruff and tuff, but, I am so fortunite to know him INSIDE and out.
Jeffery, I Love You more then you will ever know!
Thank You for all you do for me and our family.

Me with my mom and dad. We all walked around the temple grounds and talked and just enjoyed the quite, spiritual feelings we all had. I am so happy my parents were able to be there on this important day. I know they are proud of me and I thank them for being such great examples.
I Love You mom & dad!

QUINN'S CHRISTMAS PROGRAM!

I know it's long but, PLEASE READ AND ENJOY!
For those of you who have not yet had the privilege to meet my wonderful, special, older brother Quinn, he truly is a blessing to our family. He was born with Down Syndrome. He can't speak, but does some sign language he has learned and some he has made up himself. :) Our family has learned patients and what it means to really love unconditionally. Quinn doesn't care if you stink or your dirty, put deodorant on for the day; if you are pink, green, blue, black, brown or white, if your rich or poor, pretty or ugly...HE LOVES EVERYONE! Couldn't we all learn a little from his example...He is 43 years YOUNG. He lives at home with mom & dad, and goes to a learning work shop during the day. He enjoys Hot Wheel Car's, popcorn, the color Red, Chicken, his Birthday, and most of all... POP! Jeffery, since the day he met Quinn, has always taken him to get a Pepsi at Maverik and now it's just part of their routine! If he doesn't take him right when he gets there, Quinn pouts until he does. We love him soooo much and could never imagine life without our Quinn!
Quinn with Grandma Belle

Quinn with Pat, one of mom's best friends and respite care giver for Quinn. One of Quinn's very favorite people!

Quinn after his program giving Karson a hug. He is an awesome Uncle!

Quinn with some of his classmates. Quinn is so full of energy and life all the time.

oh...and he loves to pull faces. He likes other people to pull faces back at him.

They sang several songs during the program and told funny jokes. Quinn was Pinocchio in the song "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer"

Patty, Grandma Belle, Mom and Karson

Quinn was laughing at his teacher (the girl on the right). She was trying to get him to put his Pinocchio sign down after his part and he wouldn't. Then after he did, he picked it up again. We all laughed!

I am so proud of Quinn and I feel very lucky to have him as my brother.
Quinn and I are 17 years apart, with no one in between, so when I was born, my mom said he couldn't have been more proud. She said everytime the door bell rang, even if I was asleep, he would go in and get me and carry me to the door to show me off.
What a great brother I have!
